PLANS: Cordwood Pole Shed

Cordwood Pole Shed Plans (Build a Practice Building First)

by Richard Flatau

This all COLOR BOOKLET shows how to assemble and construct your first, simple cordwood structure on site. Not meant for dwellings, these future tool and materials/storage sheds are the perfect practice structures you can build to learn on.

Post & Plate structure, gravel/cement foundation, built for $1.00 a square foot, king-post trusses, ingenious ladder pad foundation. Build this first.

Real world sheds are shown, plus precise "How To" on types of wood, and mortar mixes needed.

Taught are: framework and footer/foundation types; laying up the cordwood walls, door and window placement, roof styles, mortar recipes.

Richard put workshop students to work on four 12' x 16' "practice sheds" at a cost of less than $1.00 a square foot, using new materials.

(Note that cordwood needs to be cut, debarked, split and dried for a full year before use.)

[Most natural builders will JOKE that they have the best looking garage..because they made all the mistakes on the HOUSE building, so learn by training on a not-so-important shed, and then build a great house with your new skills!]
Booklet: 21 pages, 8.5" x 11" size, comb binding, printing on heavy stock, color images throughout.
