Ms. Patterson regularly restores furniture for interior designers, including staining and upholstery, and has also designed and painted furniture pieces in her original designs. Additionally, Virginia is an accomplished quilter whose work has been exhibited in galleries and art shows across the United States. Francine Hornberger edits interior design and crafts books.

She’s written for craft product manufacturers and craft book publishers, including the Offray Ribbon Company and McCall’s Creates.
