Free Shed- from Rub-R-Slate, wood, carpet

Michael Collins is an artist who used to live near Bodega Bay CA, he created a garden shed from salvaged scrap wood, covered the roof with old carpet and sprayed the entire shed inside and out with papercrete.

None of the wood scrap was longer than 5', so he got creative in making a circle shape , using a triangle pattern of attaching boards for maximum strength. Windows were salvaged, as was used carpet.

He used a Tirolessa sprayer, available at www.mortarsprayer.com

Colors on the walls were achieved by using cement acid etch pigments.

The the basic mix was: 1 5 gal bucket paper slurry made with water only. Mixed in a tow mixer first. 1 large scoop lime, 2 large scoops kaolin clay ( Fire clay-mortar clay brand name HR Muddox, 1 scoop asphalt emulsion, mixed for 3 minutes, and spread like icing on the dry papercrete roof.

The Roof needed to be waterproofed so he used a variation of the RRS emulsion mix as a plaster over the carpet-cement layer.
